The People Behind The Vintage Rack UK

Hi, we’re Finn and Millie, the founders of The Vintage Rack UK.

We met while studying Fashion and quickly discovered a shared passion for clothing, vintage style, and sustainable fashion. What began as a common interest soon grew into something much bigger.

After starting out selling second-hand clothing online, we became increasingly aware of the amount of perfectly good clothing being overlooked or discarded. Many garments had years of life left in them but were often unwanted due to minor damage or imperfections.

Today, The Vintage Rack UK is our full-time passion. Based in Cambridge, we personally source, rework, photograph, measure, pack, and ship every item. Being involved in every step of the process allows us to ensure each piece meets the standards we’d expect ourselves.

We’re proud to be building a business around clothing we genuinely love, while helping create a more sustainable future for fashion.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to give clothing a second life.

What started as a way to save damaged garments from being discarded has evolved into a commitment to reducing waste and challenging the throwaway culture created by fast fashion.

Rather than seeing imperfections as the end of a garment’s story, we see an opportunity to create something new. Through our reworking process, pieces that may otherwise end up in landfill are transformed into unique garments ready to be worn and appreciated again.

We believe that the most sustainable clothing is often the clothing that already exists. With enough clothing already in circulation to dress the next six generations, there is enormous value in extending the life of garments already in our wardrobes.

Every purchase helps support a more circular approach to fashion, where quality clothing stays in use for longer and fewer garments go to waste.
